A number of websites, including Apple TV’s official Apple TV webstore and the Google Play store, allow users to watch a Skyline trailer on the device, and a number of users have reported the same on Apple’s official iOS app.
While the Skyline app currently shows only an embedded version of the trailer, Apple TV users can watch the trailer on YouTube, the site’s video player, which is currently unavailable on Apple TVs.
Apple TV users who are currently using a Chromecast device with an internet connection can watch Skylines trailer on AppleTV with no issue.
However, those who have been using Chromecast for a while will likely notice a delay in the Skylines video playback.
According to Apple TV software developers, Apple will release an update for Skylines to address the issue, but the delay is likely to be a temporary one.
The Skylines launch has been a bit of a disappointment for Apple, with Apple’s iOS 8 beta app being shut down earlier this month.
A number other features, including a new Siri voice assistant, the ability to customize your Apple TV experience, and the ability for users to create a custom video with Siri, were also shelved in the iOS 8.1 beta.
Apple has not commented on whether the iOS update will fix the issue with Skylines or how long the issue will be in place.
