The Iron Maiden webstore has launched its latest collection of original releases, including three of the band’s classic albums, and the band has also been granted exclusive digital access to its online store.
Iron Maiden’s webstore began offering albums through its website back in March of this year, and this week the band announced that it had received a patent for its new system.
The system, which the band is calling the IronMaidenTM™, uses a proprietary algorithm to determine what music to stream.
The patent states that the algorithm will work with any music in the Iron Maidens catalog, from the classic albums to the new releases.
For example, if Iron Maiden releases a new album this week, the band will then be able to stream a playlist of songs from that album.
As the name implies, the system will let users stream tracks that were released in the past two weeks, or even from the same artist.
It’s unclear when the new system will launch, or when the band might make its debut on the Ironmaidens webstore.
The band will also be releasing a digital download of the album I Am The Iron Man.
